Bjorn bunhauss Olafsson
Bjorn bunhauss Olafsson is an Anglo-Dane from
near Jorvik (York) at the time of Eric Bloodaxe's reign. He spends his time trading to and from the European coast and
answering the call to war with his bow and axe. BJ is a Software Engineer who likes to keep Bjorn well-outfitted without breaking the bank. His forray into the world of
"making stuff" started at a young age in his grand-mother's living room with a pile of beads and a spool of wire. In 1997,
his Sophomore year at WVU, BJ started participating in Living History events of the American Coloinal Period. Outfitting a
persona from any period can quickly price a college student out of the hobby. So, he started trying to make as much of his
gear as he could. His interest in Colonial America turned into a summer job at Prickett's Fort State Park where he protrayed
a Shawnee warrior, a frontiersman, and a blacksmith at different points in his time there. In 2004, after securing a career,
he joined the SCA and started building a kit for Bjorn. BJ has also become interested in calligraphy even though Bjorn
can't wear it.
Some of his work may be seen here.
