Profile
Christofano Vecchione
Christofano is a scribe who always likes to do something different. Whether it's finding that obscure manuscript, new grotesque, or combining two styles into a what-if. Many of his pieces are more of a done-in-the-style process rather than copying an existing page.
His current obsession is faux scripts having created more than a dozen scripts. He's created an very usable Arabic (Kufic, Diwani, Naskhi, and Thuluth), Hebrew, Kanji, and Mongolian, all very useful for SCA scrolls. Unfortunately, many other scripts are outside the realm of the SCA.
After taking up scribing in the SCA around 1989 he found he like doing artwork. He changed from being an IT student and entered art school a few years later. He graduated with a degree in illustration and has used that to further his artwork in the SCA.
