Elisabeth Johanna von der Flossenburg
Elisabeth Johanna von der Flossenburg is an only child. Her father, a second son and destined for the church, and her mother, the only child of a noble family, fell in love and against both families wishes ran away and got married. The only way my father could sustain his family was through his art. He was a very gifted painter and bard. My mother passed away giving birth to me. Since I was the only thing my father had left of his beloved he took me along to all the various courts in Europe where he found work painting miniature portraits. In many of these courts I was accepted as a noble and educated with the children, in others I was considered a servant and put with the servants' children. Either ways I learned, about the arts and sciences (to read and to write!) and also to cook, to clean and to serve. My father passed away young and I came under the protection of Duke Sir Elffin in the Kingdom of Drachenwald. I lived there many years a
nd served as a Minister of Arts and Sciences in my local Barony (Knight's Crossing), I helped in many kitchens, served as autocrat and feastocrat and was acting University Chancilor. Their Majesties Drachenwald were going to apoint me permanently to this position when a young man send word through His Herold and asked the crown for my hand in marriage.
He came across the large ocean from a Kingdom called Aethelmearc to receive the King's answer. He brought with him many riches and a high Bride Price The event he came to was in the Principality of Nordmark and called Double Wars (Drachenwald’Äôs Pennsic) After quite some deliberations between Their Majesties, Their Highnesses and Duke Elffin a consensus was found and also His Majesty felt I was marrying below my station the permission was given and Lord Harold and myself were married. Lord Harold took me with him to thre Kingdom of Aethelmearc where we now live. In my free time I enjoy making clothing for us, late period German of course, and some of the other styles I saw during my travels with my father. I also enjoy knitting and embroidery, like every Lady should.
