Interest List

Fredeburg von Katzenellenbogen

Fredeburg resides in the Barony Marche of the Debatable Lands where she is a physicist during the week at a small engineering firm. She became interested in the middle ages at a young age and took various medieval art history courses during her first stint at university. While there she also was introduced to printmaking, although she mainly pursued modern forms. She has been researching medieval printmaking for several years. Along with her interest in printmaking, she also paints, draws, and is currently learning calligraphy.

Fredeburg is also interested in various fiber arts, especially tablet weaving. Recently she has begun spinning with a drop spindle. In addition, she sews almost all of her own garb (preferring late 15th century German), as well as her husbands. Her sewing ability was self taught because once she knew how to make a skirt, she figured a coat would be really easy.
